I had the opportunity to play at a new Kerrville Restaurant on Friday, May 28th. The name of the new Restaurant
is Pontchartrain Grill. It has a very nice out door covered dining area as well as plenty of indoor seating and also
has a nice wine bar inside. The Pontchartrain Grill offers a full menu of Cajun "Home Style Cookin" and the
prices are very reasonable. If you haven't tried the Pontchartrain Grill, I encourage you to do so. I'll be back at
Pontchartrain on June 24th (Friday) from 7 - 10 PM..... I'll see you on the patio.

With much help from my good friend, Don Bradley of California I have sent out CD's of my new single, "If You
Were Mine" to radio stations all around the world. I have gotten positive feedback back from several of the DJ's at
these stations. Thanks to those of you playing my music.... you know who you are and I really appreciate you!
Thanks to Don Bradley for rollin' up his sleeves and getting this song heard... what a trooper you are!

It's Memorial Day weekend and in Bandera this means Arts & Crafts on the Courthouse lawn, PRCA Rodeo,
Parade, Tubing & Rafting the Medina River, Street Dances, Bar B Que Cook offs, Motorcycle Rally and good
"LIVE" music everywhere you turn. Bandera fills up quickly, thousands come to escape the hum drum of the city
and enjoy the beauty of the hillcountry. A horse drawn Covered Wagon was seen in the drive thru at the Bandera
Sonic..... We have way too much fun here!!!!!

It's the Spurs and the Suns in game 4 tonight. The Spurs lead the Suns 3-0 in the best of 7 series and could
sweep the Suns tonight in San Antonio. At the end of regular season play the Phoenix Suns had the best record in
Basketball, they also scored the most points and had the best winning record on the road. Their "Star" player
Steve Nash was named Most Valuable Player of the year and I'm sure he was deserving of this honor..... However,
this is the Playoffs, all the marbles are on the line and the wheels seem to have fallen off the Phoenix Suns high
powered offence. Steve Nash looks confused and dejected. The Suns have one more chance tonight to beat the
Spurs and salvage what they can from this series. Honestly, it don't look good for Steve Nash and the Phoenix
Suns..... so far the San Antonio Spurs have proven to be a far better team. I predict a sweep.
The Miami Heat lead the Detroit Pistons 2 - 1 in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals. The winner of this series
will no doubt meet the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals and it should be a good one so stay tuned! I predict
The Pistons will win this series in 7 games and of course I'll take the San Antonio Spurs to bring home the big
trophy.

May 30th (Monday)
Phoenix Suns win a close one over the SA Spurs and prevent being swept. Game #5 will be in Phoenix on
Wednesday. More later.......

June 12th (Sunday)
San Antonio Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns in 5 games to advance to the Finals. The Detroit Pistons win the
Eastern Conference Title beating the Miami Heat in 7 games. The Finals are under way and the Spurs lead the
Pistons 2-0. Next game will be in Detroit on Tuesday the 14th. Spurs win game 1 by the score of 84-69 and
game 2 by a score of 97-76. It looks as though Manu Ginobili of the SA Spurs will be the MVP of the MBA
Finals this year with Tim Duncan running a very close second. Both have been un-stoppable on both offence and
defence. The Spurs have out scored the Pistons by a total of 36 points in the first 2 games of a best 4 of 7
series. The Spurs are looking to bring home, yet another NBA Trophy... the 3rd in 5 years.
Stay tuned.... The Detroit Pistons are the reigning champs..... at least for 2 more games.

June 21st, (Tuesday)
Well, after the Spurs were embarrassed in the 3rd and 4th game in Detroit they managed to pull out a close one in
OT in game 5. Game 6 is tonight in San Antonio, the Spurs lead the best of seven series 3-2 and will try to
close out the series tonight by beating the Pistons at the SBC Center. My prediction is : Spurs will win by double
figures.... let's say 97-84..... we'll see! Go Spurs Go!!!
                              ***********************
Game 6 is over and the Pistons win to force a seventh and final game on Thursday at SBC Center in San Antonio.
The Spurs looked like they were playing at 55% of their potential... Thursday's game is for all the marbles.
Duncan and friends need to wake up and play like champions!
                               ***********************
It's over.... The San Antonio Spurs are NBA Champs for the 3rd time in seven years! The Spurs must be God's
favorite team, that would explain how the Detroit Pistons out scored the Spurs over all in the 7 game series
607-594, out rebounded the Spurs by a greater margin than that, had far less turnovers and still came out loser.
Go figure! I am a Spurs fan but I feel like the better team lost.

Tim Duncan was awarded the MVP Trophy for the Finals.... again, GO FIGURE! The Spurs would have lost the
series in game 6 if Robert Horry hadn't made the 3 point shot with 5.8 seconds left in game 5. Manu Ginobili
played a much better series than did Tim Duncan. My MVP is Robert Horry, without Horry's contribution there
would have not been a game 7, period. In my opinion, Tim Duncan should be made to spend the off season with
Chauncey Billups. Maybe he would learn how to hit a free throw shot. Duncan was 36 of 54 from the FT line
during the 7 game series.... not good! He may be team leader and played great all year but where was Tim Duncan
for most of the Finals? Tim, if you read this, be a man and give the MVP Trophy to Horry or Ginobili... they were
much more deserving of it. You should be grateful that your team pulled you from the wreckage. If I wasn't so quiet
by nature, I'd write what I really think!

My friends Sonny Throckmorton and Joe Allen treated local fans to a performance to remember at Kelly's Tavern in
Pipe Creek, TX on Saturday, October 8, 2005. Joe Manuel was on hand to play guitar and showed the crowd
why he is one of the most sought after guitarist in the country. I visited with Joe Manuel before and after the show
and was told that he was joining up with Merle Haggard the following day for an extended tour. Joe is much more
than a great guitarist, he's a friendly sort and leaves a good impression.

Sonny took the stage at 8 pm, greeted fans and went right into his show. He played and sang hits he's written
over the years, drawing oohs and ahhs from the relaxed crowd. About 45 minutes in to the show he introduced Joe
Allen as his special guest, little did the people in the room know what a treat awaited them. Joe sang songs he's
written for Johnny Cash and the Carter Family, Eddy Arnold, Gene Watson and others. He came very close to
stealing the show with a song he penned titled "Old Porch Swing", a song that has recently been recorded by
Eddy Arnold and Gene Watson. In his deep and traveled voice he admitted to the crowd that he is not a performer,
it's not what he really does. He loves to write the songs and golf as much as he can. I was there sitting right down
front and I can tell you that Joe's performance was spotless... He had me hangin' on every word. Ron Chapman
filled in on Bass while Joe performed.

Sonny finished out the night by taking requests and then announced that he was giving his CD's, and Posters
to all who wanted them. Sonny signed autographs and mingled with fans till the wee hours. It was a great night of
entertainment and one can only hope for a return performance in the near future.

Below are a few snapshots of the show.
